Chrislyn Cool is a mental health counselor and mental performance coach who works with individuals navigating challenges both in and out of sport. Her approach is grounded in the belief that mental health, identity, relationships, and performance are interconnected. Chrislyn strives to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and developing meaningful skills for growth. In her counseling work, Chrislyn has particular interests in identity exploration, self-understanding, relationships, life transitions, anxiety, stress, and the ways that social and cultural experiences can influence mental health. She is especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and providing an affirming space for clients to explore identity, belonging, relationships, and authenticity.
Chrislyn believes that counseling should be a space where clients can better understand themselves without feeling pressured to fit into a particular mold or expectation. She earned a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Wyoming. Chrislyn is a provisionally licensed clinician in the State of Wyoming, supervised by Tedder Easton. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Well-Being at The University of Wyoming, where she provides mental health and mental performance support for Division I athletes. Through her clinical and performance work, Chrislyn is committed to helping clients develop greater self-awareness, build practical skills, and move toward a life and sense of self that feels meaningful and authentic.
